The City has begun the important task of updating its General Plan and is asking everyone in the community to participate in the process!  

The General Plan will identify the community’s priorities and vision for the future of our City. This important document is a “blueprint” for growth and development in Desert Hot Springs.  The General Plan will include long-range goals and policies addressing important topics from public safety to the natural environment to economic development. The process is anticipated to be completed within approximately 20 months from beginning to end.

Community Involvement 

As Desert Hot Springs continues to move into the future, it is very important to develop a plan that improves and protects the city’s unique attributes. This is where you can help! One of the most important aspects of updating the General Plan is getting the community involved to help shape the goals and policies of the General Plan. There will be several events held in the upcoming months that will seek input from the community. The City would also appreciates comments via email, phone, or written letter on what issues or topics you would like to see incorporated into the General Plan. We especially want to hear what you love about your community. So get involved and help shape the future of Desert Hot Springs.
